🗞️ Uncaged – Issue #2 Stop Forced Monkey Labor in the Thai Coconut Industry
Welcome to the second issue of Uncaged, where we expose the brutal truths of the practice of forced labor of monkeys in the Thai Coconut Industry.
🚨 Today’s Focus: Forced Monkey Labor in Thailand’s Coconut Industry
In Thailand, baby monkeys are ripped away from their mothers and subjected to brutal training to be used as “tools” for coconut picking. These monkeys are often chained, isolated, and deprived of basic needs like food, water, and companionship. Workers break their spirits through cruel training techniques, forcing them to pick coconuts — a task that should never involve forced labor.
These monkeys live in constant fear, subjected to physical and emotional torment every day. Their natural behaviors are crushed under the weight of this exploitation, and many are left broken and traumatized.
What’s worse, the Thai coconut industry continues to profit from this cruelty, and brands that use coconut-based products often turn a blind eye to the practices that go into producing their goods.
🔥 Take Action: Tell the Royal Thai Embassy to End This Cruelty
We need your help to urge the Royal Thai Embassy to take a stand and help shut down these “monkey-training schools” and make forced monkey labor illegal in Thailand.
PETA has been relentless in exposing this horrific industry, but your voice matters now more than ever. Sign the petition and send a message to the government to demand an end to forced monkey labor in the coconut industry. Every word makes an impact.
