🐮 UNCAGED • ISSUE #7: THE MILK MARATHON MISCONCEPTION
The dairy industry profits from the suffering of female cows—while hypocritically promoting itself as empowering to women.
TODAY’S FOCUS
Fleet Feet and Rabbit—two popular athletic brands—are sponsoring an event called Every Woman’s Marathon, created by the dairy industry to market cow’s milk to women. But behind the feel-good marketing is a reality built on cruelty, hypocrisy, and misinformation.
💔 THE DARK SIDE OF DAIRY
The dairy industry’s exploitation starts at birth—female cows are repeatedly forcibly impregnated, only to have their calves taken away hours after delivery. The milk meant for their babies is taken and sold to humans. When their bodies are worn out and no longer profitable, they’re sent to slaughter.
This industry profits from violating female bodies, yet they’re promoting a marathon under the guise of “female empowerment.” The irony is sickening.
📊 THE HEALTH RISKS THEY WOULDN’T TELL YOU
While dairy ads push cow’s milk as “healthy,” science says otherwise:
— Multiple studies have linked cow’s milk consumption to higher risks of breast and ovarian cancer, especially in women.
— It’s also associated with hormonal imbalances, acne, and increased inflammation in the body.
— Around 68% of the global population is lactose intolerant, meaning they can’t even digest it properly.
So why is this industry telling women what to drink—and profiting from it?
🚨 WHY THIS MATTERS
Sponsorships from companies like Fleet Feet and Rabbit give credibility to events that mislead the public. It’s not just about one race—it’s about how we allow powerful industries to mask exploitation with pink banners and “empowerment” language.
📣 HOW YOU CAN HELP
Speak up. Share the truth. Urge Fleet Feet and Rabbit to withdraw their support from this harmful event. Let’s tell companies that empowering women means rejecting industries that harm females, human and nonhuman alike.
